Where we're from

During 2010 the Glaston corporation decided to outsource the Bavelloni machinery & aftersales business. Glass Machinery Solutions was formed in conjunction with Glaston Finland and were awarded the official distributorship making GMS the sole supplier of Bavelloni processing machinery and after-sales in the UK & Ireland.

The company was previously based at Triton Park in Rugby for 15 years under the name of Z.Bavelloni (Est 1946) before being aquired by the Glaston Corporation (Finland) in 2004. The new directors Richard Gerrard & Paul Goodman have managed to return the Bavelloni business sector to its rightful home in Rugby, Warwickshire. This move is seen by all of customers as one of great significance and means a return to a more local based service. The move back to Rugby and the restocking of local spare parts and diamond tooling will allow GMS to provide a substantial increase in service and support levels.

All members of the existing Glaston Bavelloni team transferred to Glass Machinery Solutions Ltd ensuring consistency for customers and maintaining the company’s valuable experience. Glass Machinery Solutions Ltd has a combined experience of 60 years in the glass industry covering every aspect of the business including engineering services, operator training, product development and sales. As a result of this wide range of experience Glass Machinery Solutions Ltd feel that they are able to offer their customers a service that is unrivalled in the UK.

Glass Machinery Solutions Ltd intends to expand its operation and have already secured agreements with several other major machinery suppliers giving them a much greater range of products including – Digital Printers both UV & Ceramic type, Unit Lines for double glazed units, Washing Machines both Vertical & Horizontal, Lifting & Handling Equipment & Water Treatment Units. As well as the full range of market leading Bavelloni equipment including – Bevelling, CNC, Cutting, Drilling, Edging & Double Edging & Seaming machines.

Glass machinery Solutions Ltd will continue to provide the market leading Bavelloni service care cover giving its service cover customers priority service as well as discounted diamond tooling and spare parts. The service care system has recently undergone many improvements including the introduction of GPS vehicle tracking allowing Glass machinery Solutions Ltd identify their nearest engineer providing customers with a much more efficient and effective service. additionaly the relocation of the main office and service office to Rugby where the majority of staff live allows the engineers to collect any service kits or spare parts required for the their days work.
